Dải lỗ đục brogue mảnh chạy ngang mũi cap toe là điểm trang trí duy nhất, còn lại để da tự lên tiếng. Đế Dainite nguyên bản đã mòn nhẹ ở mũi, Râu gia cố thêm mckay stitch để giữ đế chắc hơn, cùng lớp outsole cao su phủ thêm phần forefoot. The Hyde belongs to Loake's 1880 Classic line — the brand's top tier, built on the Capital last at their Northamptonshire factory, the same last used for formal styles like the Aldwych. Genuine Goodyear welt construction: the sole stitches through an intermediate welt strip, replaceable multiple times without touching the upper — unlike cemented soles glued on once.
A thin line of broguing across the cap toe is the only decoration; the rest is left to the leather. The original Dainite sole had worn slightly at the toe, so Râu reinforced it with an added McKay stitch plus a rubber outsole layer over the forefoot. Stamped inside: HYDE, Capital last, size 9, Made in England.
